WHY WE MADE IT?

Two years ago, we started a documentary film project following inner city kids from NYC who got an extraordinary opportunity. With help from the educational non-profit Global Learning Across Borders, they would travel to northern India for two-week home stays with local families; largely Tibetans living in exile from their native country.

There are a lot of heartfelt reasons we wanted to make this film, but what really sparked our imagination was this question: What would it be like to go to India if you had never left New York City?

This is that story.
